Morris Mens club
Welcome to the home of Morris Men's Rugby.
The Morris RFC Men's team currently plays competitive rugby in the MetNY 2nd Division every fall, finishing 2nd in 2007 and winning the division in 2008. We offer full 1st XV and 2nd XV matches during the fall, a challenging spring season and a full 7s program every summer so there are plenty of opportunities to play rugby from the oldest head to the freshest newcomer. With players from all over the world and every walk of life Morris rugby offers something for everyone.
In addition to our regular Spring and Fall matches the Men's team undertakes two short tours each year. The world renound Saranac 15s tournament in Lake Placid in September is used as a warm-up to the fall season, and every spring we travel to one of the many tournaments to which we are invited. This year we attended the St. Patricks day tournament in Savannah.
Morris RFC also hosts the annual 'Jersey Cup' for youth, U15, U19, Women's development, Masters and Men's rugby. Teams from New Jersey contest the 'Jersey Cup' while teams from the World over are welcome to contest the 'Jersey Cup Invitational'. The 2009 tournament date has already been set (Men, Women, Masters 5/16 and U15, U19, Masters 5/17 2009).
Throughout the season Morris Men can be found at the Mennan Arena on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 - 9pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
