Join Morris Rugby for the season Kickoff Party at the Rattlesnake Cantina on Saturday, August 23 from 8-12 pm. The cost is $25 for dues paying members, $30 for non-paying dues members. Price includes tap beer and appetizers. Hang out with the team, listen to the band and have a great time as we celebrate another fall season.
Morris Rugby’s own Tess Feury of Denville and Katherine Ramage of Roxbury are currently in Nanjing China representing the USA at the Youth Olympics. The opening ceremonies are Saturday Aug. 16 at 8 pm China Time. The rugby games begin on Aug. 17 with pool play and continue each day until the finals on Wednesday Aug. 20.
Practices will be held two nights each week from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Mennen Arena field. Once matches begin, practice sessions will drop down to one night each week. There is also a tentative Saturday scrimmage date set.
What can be better than 700 happy Morris Rugby Players and their families! Yes, that is what took place on Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Black River Fields in Chester, N.J. Morris Youth Rugby came together for the fastest game played in Morris County.
The NJ Blaze Boys College Side and High School Sides played some fast-paced rugby and had a great showing at Surfside 2014.
The Denville Dawgs, Morris Rugby and Denville’s Mayor Mr. Tom Andes not only celebrated the end of another youth successful rugby season but congratulated Tess Feury (a Denville Dawg Graduate) and Kat Ramage on their selection to the US Rugby Youth Olympic Team that will participate in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing China in August.

After going undefeated, and winning the tri state sevens and the Blazing sevens last week, the NJ Blaze girls sevens teams did it again at the Surfside Sevens tournament, where they went 5-0 en route to another championship.
Morris Rugby will be offering the following youth tackle programs and we encourage all interested flag players to come out and join us: Rookie Rugby Camp Rookie Rugby Camp is open to boys ages 10 through 14 and girls ages 12 through 14.
The Denville Dawgs 2014 squad has reached mid season and are looking great on the pitch, strong in numbers and skill. They have traveled to play the Montville Wanderers and the Byram Bruins. They showed their sportsmanship and hospitality at their home game on June 28.
