The first annual Gibby's Gallop was held Oct. 11, 2014. A total of 164 participants came out on a rainy Saturday to have fun and raise money for the Gibby Scholarship fund and Demi-Lee, a Morris rugger battling an autoimmune disease.
Sunday October 19th we will be holding a benefit to help one of our own! Morris rugby player Demi-Lee, a student at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, is in need of critical chemotherapy treatment for CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy), an immune disorder affecting the nervous system.

The very first Gibby 5k run/walk/8k run will be held on Oct. 11, 2014 beginning at 9:30 a.m. We're also pleased to announce that some of the proceeds from Gibby's Gallop 2014 will go to help Demi-Lee, a member of the Morris Rugby family.
James Isaacson, a former professional rugby player in the English Premiership with over 100 appearances, will be lending his services to Morris Rugby this fall as a U12 coach. Isaacson recently moved to the area to work at Ryan Chiropractic.
There may well be representatives from West Orange, Montclair, Nutley, Maplewood, Bayonne and Newark and we will discuss how Rugby NJ ( what is that you ask ) along with Morris and Union can help get all these new programs up and running.
Join Morris Rugby for the season Kickoff Party at the Rattlesnake Cantina on Saturday, August 23 from 8-12 pm. The cost is $25 for dues paying members, $30 for non-paying dues members. Price includes tap beer and appetizers. Hang out with the team, listen to the band and have a great time as we celebrate another fall season.
Morris Rugby’s own Tess Feury of Denville and Katherine Ramage of Roxbury are currently in Nanjing China representing the USA at the Youth Olympics. The opening ceremonies are Saturday Aug. 16 at 8 pm China Time. The rugby games begin on Aug. 17 with pool play and continue each day until the finals on Wednesday Aug. 20.
Practices will be held two nights each week from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Mennen Arena field. Once matches begin, practice sessions will drop down to one night each week. There is also a tentative Saturday scrimmage date set.
What can be better than 700 happy Morris Rugby Players and their families! Yes, that is what took place on Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Black River Fields in Chester, N.J. Morris Youth Rugby came together for the fastest game played in Morris County.
