Morris Lions U15 took a large squad of players down to Conestoga PA to face the Conestoga Tigers for their first game of the new season with many new players looking keen to put the weeks of indoor training into practice.

The Morris Rugby Lions U15 rugby team traveled to Doylestown PA on Sunday March 13th for their second match of the season and came away with their second win as they dominated the Dragons 51-5.

As expected, Union Rugby club of Union County NJ, gave the Morris lions their stiffest competition of this young season. In the end, the Morris Lions pushed their record to 4-0 after defeating the Mud Turtles 32-15.

The second game featured a combination of 8th and 9th graders from the Morris lions against a High School side from Unionville. Robert Stortz continued to lead the team in scoring, this time posting three tries.

After starting the season 6-0 with impressive wins over a variety of U15 New Jersey and Pennsylvania teams, The Morris U15 Lions moved up the ladder of competition when they took on two New York City teams comprised of older high school students and went 1-1 for the week, leaving them with a 7-1 record for the season.

On Sunday, Morris traveled to Brooklyn to play another tough group of U19 boys. However, this time the Morris boys had some of the Morris B side U19 players to augment their ranks and came away with a 27-20 win.

U15 Boys (24) v. St. Peters (19)
The Morris Lions U15 Boys rugby team won both of their home matches this past weekend to better their record to 9-1 for the season. Friday evening, the St Peters Prep freshman and sophomore side traveled from Jersey City to Denville to face the Lions. Morris won the day in a hard fought match that went down to the final second.

The Morris Lions U15 boy’s rugby team won their 10th match of the season this past Sunday after they defeated Union Rugby Club by a score of 36-15. Morris is now 11-1 for the season with one regular season match left against Old Greenwich Connecticut.
